Propagation of bad money brought about by shitty websites for developers in Japan

Recently, I have been working with a vendor with a low unit price, and I have been having trouble with the amount of work I have to point out because the quality of the work is not flattering.

The vendors who are not good at what they do tend to have the following characteristics in common: they are not fluent in either their native language or English, they have a narrow perspective, and they are unable to think in isolation.

Causes of low ability

In Japan, there is a website called Qiita that has lowered the barrier for developers to contribute to the web.

However, because the threshold has been lowered, a large amount of garbage information has been caught by search crawlers.

They create their own poems and paste Qiita poems in their work.

You have to laugh at the fact that you can't understand the words I am pointing out, or can't distinguish between things, or don't have the ability or education to think or design for yourself.

The fact that they refer to Qiita poems is a problem to begin with, and if I have to point out all the contents that are not good, including the references, then offshore are even better.

The problem is that people don't read or learn from one famous book, but a barrier exists for those who don't learn or don't understand.

As in Yoro Mengji's Wall of Fools, "I have voluntarily blocked out information about what I don't want to know. Here the wall exists." As he explains, it is very tricky because a wall exists that prevents us from understanding any more for some reason.

Qiita expanded by lowering the bar for participation

In order to promote a service like Qiita, it is important to either bait the users or lower the barriers to participation.

It is easy to understand when you think about information sharing for internal use, but if you write something inappropriate within your company, masakari will immediately fly to you, so the level of knowledge sharing will become high and no one will write anything at an early stage.

In the sense of lowering the threshold, mob engineers started posting tips-level contents on Qiita, and as a result, the submission hurdle was lowered, and as a result, the number of useless articles increased as it became possible for me to write this level of content.

As a result, the number of articles that I could write increased, and the number of useless articles also increased.

Those who were less than perfect tried to update their blogs by referencing Qiita poems and silly articles.

I wonder why they are not taught that reinventing the wheel is a bad idea.

After all, people like Wizard are complete hiders or only look at foreign articles, so this response is correct.

Be careful of publicity and glittery types

The most troublesome thing about Qiita is that it displays the affiliation of the company or individual posting on Qiita, so there were many companies and individuals posting on Qiita including poems at one time.

When the company I was working for at the time was doing a full renewal of its service, it requested the FE part from another company (Y) and another vendor (B), both of whom were posting a lot on Qiita. The contract was terminated immediately, and we had to delete that part entirely and start from scratch.

In the end, we wasted about 20 million yen, and the FE leader took responsibility and participated in the coding himself, and other leaders, including myself, had to participate as well.

Fortunately, their garbage is gone on the service, but it was a ridiculously high cost in terms of internal man-hours alone.

And even now, the Qiita they left behind continues to remain, and we are stuck in a negative serialization process where subsequent uninitiated vendors refer to it.

Search pollution in Japan continues unabated, and services like Zenn are following in its footsteps, so one should be careful about articles directed at Japan.
